Summer vacation is now over and Hogwarts is open yet once again! The halls are now busy again with familiar faces and new faces. I hope everyone enjoyed their breaks, and are ready to kick off another great year at the castle!

It's summer time, and you know what that means - it's time for a few weeks of relaxation at camp hoggy-warty, a magical camp for witches and wizards, located in wales! pack your belongings, and prepare for a summer filled with adventure!
11 ϟ dueling tournament
after the lengthy spring break, the students and staff return to hogwarts! meanwhile, the castle prepares for its annual dueling club tournament, where students from hogwarts, durmstrang, and beauxbaton will compete for the title of dueling champion! be sure to attend, starting 2 april - 15 april, to cheer on your friends!

spring break has begun, from 12 march - 31 march! students are packing their belongings and heading home for the lengthy vacation, while others are planning trips with family and friends around the exotic regions of the magical and muggle world! where will you spend the vacation this term?

Slytherin secures its second victory of the season, but now it's time for Gryffindor and Ravenclaw to meet on the pitch for the fourth match of the term! Can Ravenclaw pull off its first win, or will Gryffindor stand victorious for a second time?

Ravenclaw and Slytherin kicked off the quidditch season with an exciting match - congrats to Slytherin! Gryffindor and Hufflepuff now take over the field; show your support for these teams by heading down to the Tryouts with Madam Hooch! Happy Quidditch Spirit Month!
4 ϟ semester c has begun
After a lengthy holiday break, students and staff are returning to Hogwarts for the beginning of SEMESTER C! Rotation I classes begin on 2 January, and will be held for two weeks. Rotation II classes will then be in session starting on 16 January. Study hard, and keep safe at Hogwarts!

Dear Lucy,
My name is Ember Slide and I have decided to keep a journal to have record at my time at a very special school that you have to promise not to tell anyone about. Promise?...K great! I'm 11 years old and this is my first year at a special magical school for wizards and witches like me. I mean it's no surprise that Hogwarts exists, I am a Pureblood witch after all, it's just the thought that I am going to be learning all about MAGIC!! Cool right? I'm totally not an average girl and I am loving the fact that I get to be involved in such a great community of people like me without having to hide my awesomeness tehe. Anyways, the reason I decided to start noting my time at Hogwarts was first started on the second of this month. I had had a few days to get adjusted and make a few new friends and then they dropped a bombshell. There are CLASSES!!! No lounging around doing magic tricks for me I guess. But that is totally okay cause it gave me this awesome idea to jot my classes down in a notebook and then I htought why not just right anything and everything down? I'm good huh? So this is the first day of my journal keeping so I am going to put down my schedule for this whole semester now!!

She turned in circles a couple of times trying to find where her trunk was. She was bumped into, hard, by an older kid and she stuck her lip out as she landed on the ground. She picked herself up and brushed off of new robes. She almost started to cry when she spotted a big gash in the fabric, but she took a deep breath, closed her eyes and told herself that it was okay. Her eyes shot open when a gruff voice told her to move along and she looked down at her shoes and quickly walked away. She had no idea where to go so she started following a girl that was Ember's size and hopefully a first year too. <p>Ember almost tripped on a rock and she squealed, catching herself before she hit the ground, she looked up to see the girl that she had been following glaring down at her. Ember blushed and realized that this girl was definitely not going to help her. Ember was beginning to panic now as she sprinted back to the train, which was getting ready to head off. Ember jumped as a gruff voice yelled for the last call for first years to head over to him. Ember almost laughed as she turned to face where the voice had come from. <p>It was a big harry man and Ember put her hand over her mouth in shock. She rushed past him and clambered into one of the many little boats. She turned to face the shore just as the big man climbed into a boat of his own. Ember looked around and saw that there were four other people in her boat. She smiled warily and said, Hello, I'm Ember. She started talking and by the time she had everyone in the boat laughing and smiling, the big man at the front of the boats yelled that they would be able to see that castle soon. Castle? Ember thought curiously and she carefully stood up, resting her hand on the side of the boat. <p>She gasped and jumped up and down at the sight of the castle. She screamed as she almost fell into the water, but she leaned back and fell into the bottom of the boat instead. She started to laugh, but quickly shut up as they started gliding up in the boats into the rock. It was like being in a dark cave and she started biting her nails again. It was a bad habit that she was trying to break and she had been really good about it lately too. Ember picked herself up from the bottom of the boat as they came out of the tunnel. The boats thumped to a stop and Ember was the first one to clamber out of hers. She slowly followed the big man up to the castle and they stopped at the huge wooden doors before entering the castle.<p>Ember gasped and stared up at the cavernous ceiling, she quickly picked up her surroundings and laughed at how beautiful everything was. The big man stopped them and told them to wait and then he left a thin and stern looking woman in charge. The woman told a few people off for things like messy hair, dirt on their faces and weird acessories and then she walked inside the room that they were waiting outside. Ember was one of the only people who noticed what was inside, but Ember was the only one who noticed the ceiling that looked exactly like the sky outside had. It was probably made to look like that with magic. She thought with a smile. <p>Then the woman came back and they all walked in. Ember smiled widely and walked into the room first. She waved eagerly at all of the big students and she quickly noticed the girl that she had tried following that had acted so mean sitting at a table with a ton of other mean looking people. She has wide nostrils and a small mouth, filled with pretty near perfect teeth. She is tall for her age and very slim, she has tan skin and long fingers. She has small feet and a heart shaped face and she has big sized ears that she hides with her hair. She has thin arms and tiny writs and she has small hands. She has a natural smile and dimples and nose is elbows and her lips are naturally red. She has smooth skin, with no freckles and her eyes are not to close together and not to far apart either. <p>
<p> <br> PERSONALITY. Ember is peppy and energetic, she is funny and genuine. She is considerate and has a great sense of humor. She is a major bookworm and she loves to study. She has always believed that grades are most important and she is not very athletic. She is squirmy and gets distracted pretty easily. She is a little social butterfly and she is very talkative. She is very intelligent and she is a true friend. She loves to hang out by herself and read a book or write a letter. She is very musical and artistic and she doesn't take it well when people make fun of her. When she gets mad she gets very mad and she is very quiet around her parents. <p> <p> <br> HISTORY. Ember was born in Birmingham, England to two loving parents. Her mothers name is Brenna Dolly Hale, she chose to keep her maiden name and her fathers name is Gary Adam Slide. She has no siblings and got everything she wanted because of that. Most children would have become spoiled brats with the kind of upbringing that Ember had, but Ember is very quiet and shy around her parents. They are both very successful and they own one of the larger vaults at Gringotts with many prized possessions and a lot of money. Ember has never found pride in her familes financial standing, happy that she could afford the simple things was fien with her. She never needed anything big, but her parents continued to buy her things, hoping to get her to come out of her shell. They had no idea that Ember was completely different around other people and Ember would like her parents to stay in the dark. No matter how social Ember really is she despises the rich snobs that her parents call friends. She does not want to be pushed onto some brat of a boy by her parents, so she chooses to stay in he shell around her parents and their friends. Ember had a private tutor her whole life, her parents not wanting to get her enrolled in a private academy because they knew that Ember would have to leave to attend Hogwarts. <p> <p>
